Our Executive Director and nursing team will recommend when Memory Care is appropriate. When a resident needs a specialized, safe, and secure environment due to the progression of Alzheimer’s disease or others forms of dementia, we will assess them and then meet with them and family to discuss options that Memory Care can provide. Because our community embraces the components of the award-winning Ecumen Awakenings® program, we provide specialized memory care services in our Assisted Living neighborhood and offer Memory Care suites. Our goal is to bring the needed services directly to the resident’s apartment no matter where in the community they live. In the event that a transition to our Memory Care neighborhood is needed, our nursing team and leadership staff will work directly with families to assist in the transition.

Our award-winning Ecumen Awakenings® program emphasizes human relationships and non-pharmaceutical remedies. We are driven to help re-awaken many residents whose physical and cognitive abilities have often been masked by an inappropriate use of antipsychotic drugs by exploring alternative care approaches that could provide them a better quality of life.

Our Clinical Director and nursing staff work together to provide the very best care possible. We work directly with families, health care professionals, therapists, and others to create a comprehensive plan to meet the needs of our residents.

Once a decision is made to move to Ecumen Meadows, our nurse will meet with all new prospects and their family members to decide together what health care services are needed for admission. When receiving health services at Ecumen Meadows, we work closely with families and heath care providers to identify and assist with needed care. If a client is currently in a hospital or rehab setting, our nursing staff will work closely with that care team to develop a plan of care that will provide a smooth and safe transition to the appropriate setting. Our team approach to care relies on open communication to bring all disciplines together to develop the best possible outcomes for the health and well-being of our residents.

Ecumen Meadows provides a large menu of a la carte health services to choose from. With our flexible services, families are also welcome to be as active in the care of their loved one as they wish. The goal of our health services program is to be there when you need us.

Ecumen Meadows is a nonprofit, spiritual-based senior living community offering Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care. We work closely with you, your family, and your medical providers to determine care needs and assist with making that important decision.
