TRANSPORTATION FUNDRAISING NEWS

We have several updates to share about our transportation fundraising efforts. We received a memorial gift from Bernice Camery’s family, for which we are very grateful. Cheryl made personal visits to all the banks in Worthington to solicit donations for our transportation needs. She hand-delivered letters to each bank, explaining our needs, and now we await their response. We applied for a grant from Nobles Cooperative Electric but were told that, unfortunately, transportation falls under a category that is ineligible for their grant. We are currently in the process of applying for a grant from the Southwest Initiative Foundation. Gloria Jean Wieneke generously donated two beautiful quilts that we will raffle off. Raffle tickets will be available to purchase sometime in November. There will be more to come on that very soon!
