Ecumen is a leader in memory care. We currently offer memory care living options in 20 communities, including Ecumen Meadows in Worthington. That leadership includes creating one of the few senior housing communities nationally - Ecumen Prairie Lodge in Brooklyn Center - that serves people living with behavioral challenges of Alzheimer's disease, empowering them to live fully. Ecumen also is taking a leadership role nationally in eliminating the unnecessary use of psychotropic drugs among residents with memory loss in long-term care. This program called "Awakenings" in 2010 received a $4.2 million grant from the State of Minnesota.
